Choosing only 10 of our staff’s favorite posters proved to be too hard, so we channeled our inner “This is Spinal Tap” and went to 11. And, really, I was the problem child. I just couldn’t decide between the 1978 poster by Paul Davis, which is iconic (we still use it today on our souvenir program), and the 1993 Henry Koehler of a young girl with her pony.

Many of the other Hampton Classic team were drawn to artwork that captured scenes from the show grounds, including our bookkeeper, Rita Smith, whose favorite is from 1988 by Nina Duran, our site manager, David Dimijian’s 1992 pick by this year’s poster artist Mickey Paraskevas, Rosanna Arkinson, our publications and special projects director’s 1997 choice by Monica Acee, special projects manager Bryan Cohen’s favorite from 2004 by Jocelyn Sandor, event coordinator Craig Bergman’s nod to Daniel Black’s 2006 Grand Prix ring view, and marketing assistant Veronica Lara’s selection from 2019 by Kelly Coffin.

Event coordinator Liz Soroka loves the unique and artistical presentation in C. Tanner Jensen’s poster from 2005. And, rounding out our staff selections, are two graphic pieces — the 1994 poster by Patricia Powers, which is our marketing director, Reyna Archer’s favorite, and last year’s poster by Mark Badgely, selected by our office manager, Troy Powell.
