The Southampton Garden Club recently designed and decorated holiday baskets for hospice patients and their families. The baskets were created on Saturday in the meeting room of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Southampton.
Club members gathered to handcraft each basket using fresh greens cut directly from their own homes and gardens, lending a personal and heartfelt touch to every arrangement. The baskets were filled with seasonal treats, including special surprises for children, bringing warmth, comfort and a sense of holiday joy to the families hospice serves.
“We are deeply grateful for the Southampton Garden Club’s continued partnership and unwavering generosity,” said Mary Crosby, East End Hospice president and CEO. “These holiday greenery baskets are more than beautiful decorations — they are expressions of love and support that remind our patients and their families that the community is holding them close during this season.”
The Southampton Garden Club has long been dedicated not only to beautifying the community but also to supporting local organizations through service projects and acts of kindness. Their annual holiday basket initiative is one of the many ways the group uplifts the Eastern Long Island community.
