A truck overturned on Montauk Highway near Bluff Road in Amagansett on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 7.
Shortly before 2 p.m., the vehicle left the roadway and struck a street sign, then a tree, according to East Hampton Town Police. An ambulance brought the driver, an adult male, to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital to treat a non-life threatening injury. The truck was the only vehicle involved.
At 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the road was closed in both directions. Police and fire marshals were at the scene, as the truck remained on its roof. By 4 p.m., though, the road was cleared and open.
